I turned sixty-two last spring, and I’ve been struggling with this persistent feeling of being slightly behind the beat.
It was embarrassing to be in the middle of a dinner party and lose the thread of a story I was telling, or worse, not being able to follow what my friends were saying. I tried cutting out sugar, doing those daily crosswords, and even taking high-dose fish oil, but nothing really seemed to clear that heavy cloud. The fish oil just gave me an upset stomach, and the puzzles didn’t help me remember where I left my glasses.
About four months ago, I started taking BrainC-13 (i order here, best price i found) after reading about how saffron and Huperzine-A support brain chemistry. I didn’t notice much the first week, which actually made me trust it more because it wasn’t some weird stimulant. By the second month, I realized I wasn’t grasping for words as often. It feels like my mental stamina has returned, especially in the late afternoon when I used to just zone out. It’s a doctor-formulated blend, so it feels more balanced than the random stuff I bought at the grocery store. It’s not a miracle cure, and you definitely have to be consistent every day, but for me, it has made a world of difference in my social confidence.

I can relate to that feeling of being ‘behind the beat’ as you put it. It’s very isolating when you feel like you can’t keep up with the conversation flow.
Does this cause any jittery feelings? I had to stop drinking coffee because of heart palpitations, so I’m always nervous about brain supplements.

I’ve found that getting at least 8 hours of sleep does more for me than any pill ever could. Have you looked at your sleep hygiene lately?

How did you decide on this specific one? I’ve seen things like Ginkgo or those generic memory boosters at Costco. Did you try those first?
DaveM_68, I did try the Costco ones and a basic Ginkgo brand for a while. I chose BrainC-13 because it had the saffron and Huperzine-A combo which I hadn’t tried before. For me, it felt much more effective for that afternoon fog than the cheaper options.

Saffron is actually being studied quite a bit now for mood and cognitive health. Interesting to see it in a blend like that.
I’ve been on BrainC-13 for three months now too. The difference in my focus during work meetings is huge.
My wife and I both started BrainC-13 recently. It definitely helps with that tip-of-the-tongue syndrome.

Wait, you actually found your glasses? That alone is worth it haha.
Is it expensive? I’m on a fixed income so I have to be careful about what I add to my monthly budget.
