Vision issues - blurry sight

Hello everyone, I hope you’re all doing okay and that your pain levels are manageable today. I’m 24 and have always had better than perfect vision, but lately, I’ve noticed my eyesight is getting blurry and it’s really bothering me. Does anyone have an explanation for this or suggestions for treatment? Thanks.

I’d be worried about uveitis, which is linked to AS. It might be worth seeing a rheumatologist, who could then refer you to an ophthalmologist. It could just be natural changes in your sight over time, but you should definitely get a professional opinion to rule out anything serious.

A few years back, my vision started failing quickly—I had blurriness and double vision. I was scared it was MS since I had other issues too. However, the eye doctor just diagnosed me with astigmatism. I’d recommend seeking multiple professional opinions. If you have access to public healthcare, use it; if you’re in a place where it’s expensive, try to get help without overextending yourself financially. Hope you get a quick diagnosis and a positive outcome.

It could be uveitis. You should see a skilled ophthalmologist. Once you have a diagnosis, look into starting biologics if that’s an option for you.

It might be uveitis, though typically that involves more than just blurriness—but everyone’s experience varies. You need to visit an ophthalmologist (specifically a uveitis specialist if possible) rather than an optometrist. If it is uveitis, steroid drops usually resolve it. Don’t take risks with your sight; get to a doctor as soon as you can.
