Did you run all your laundry and towels through a hot cycle? How thoroughly did you clean your belongings, home, and car to sanitize everything?
Back in the 50s, my mother watched the neighborhood children, and one of them caught ringworm. We had to launder everything, and that child was given a dedicated towel. This was long before the days of constant disinfectant sprays, but it seemed to do the trick.
