My mouth feels significantly cleaner since changing my routine

I turned forty-five last year and started noticing that no matter how much I brushed, my mouth just didn’t feel fresh for more than an hour. My gums were often slightly inflamed, and I had this persistent grittiness that drove me crazy. I tried everything to fix it. First, I went through several bottles of those intense, alcohol-based mouthwashes. They just made my mouth bone-dry and actually seemed to make my breath worse in the long run. Then I dropped nearly two hundred dollars on a top-of-the-line electric toothbrush. It cleaned the surface of my teeth well, but my gum sensitivity stayed exactly the same. I even tried those messy water flossers and some generic store-brand gum health gels, but the results were inconsistent and the taste was often chemical and unpleasant.

About three months ago, I decided to try a more holistic approach and started using ProvaDent (i get it here, discounted!). What caught my eye was that it uses probiotics and xylitol rather than just harsh chemicals. It also has purple carrot and their BioFresh complex, which I hadn’t seen in a dental product before. The difference in how my mouth feels now is night and day. Within the first two weeks, that fuzzy feeling on my teeth in the morning was almost gone. My gums look much pinker and tighter now, and they don’t get that sore, throbbing feeling after I eat something crunchy. It feels like it’s actually balancing the oral biome rather than just masking smells. It’s been much easier to stay consistent because it doesn’t burn my mouth. Of course, I’m still flossing and seeing my dentist, but this was the missing piece for my daily routine. Everyone’s results will vary, and it definitely takes a few weeks to kick in, but for me, focusing on the probiotics made the biggest impact.

I’ve been using ProvaDent for about a month now too. I noticed the same thing with the morning breath—it’s much better. The probiotics really seem to make a difference compared to just using regular paste.

Glad you found something that works. I’ve been struggling with sensitivity lately. Did you change your toothpaste too or just add this in?

Interesting. I’m always a bit wary of the ‘holistic’ stuff, but my dentist did mention oral probiotics recently. Might have to look into the science behind it.

I was looking at a few different probiotic supplements for teeth last week. How did you decide on this specific one over the others you see at the health store? Did you try any other oral supplements first?

My dental hygienist actually pointed out how much better my gums looked at my last cleaning. I told her I started ProvaDent and she was impressed. It’s definitely helped with my gum inflammation.

To be honest, I did look at a few options at the local co-op, but I went with ProvaDent because of the specific probiotic strains they use. Some of the others I saw were just generic blends. Plus, the addition of the BioFresh complex seemed more comprehensive for the freshness aspect I was looking for. It just felt like a higher quality formula than the stuff sitting on the shelf in my experience.

Thanks for sharing the timeline. It’s helpful to know it takes a couple of weeks to see the full effect. I usually give up after three days if I don’t see a miracle lol.
