I’ve been reading a lot lately about how what we eat impacts our hearing as we get older. It’s not just about avoiding loud noises anymore; it’s about nourishing the delicate nerves in our ears. I’ve started making a few changes to my daily routine that seem to be helping with clarity.
First, I added more leafy greens for the folic acid. I also started snacking on walnuts and seeds for the omega-3s. Finally, I’m making sure to stay hydrated, which apparently helps with inner ear circulation.
Has anyone else noticed a difference by changing their diet? I’d love to hear your experiences.

I’ve heard magnesium is really important too. I started taking a supplement for it and my ears don’t feel as ‘clogged’ anymore. It’s subtle, but every little bit helps when you’re over 60!

I’m always a bit skeptical about diet fixing things like this, but I suppose it can’t hurt to eat more greens anyway. My doctor mentioned that high blood pressure can definitely make tinnitus worse, so the diet helps there too.

I definitely agree about the nutrition side of things. I’ve been using AudiFort for about three months now to help with my auditory signaling, and the stability it provides has been a game changer for me. It’s much easier to follow conversations in noisy restaurants now.

Hydration is the one people always forget. If I’m dehydrated, the ringing in my ears gets significantly louder. It’s the first thing I check now when I have a bad day.

Thanks for sharing this. I never thought about leafy greens for hearing.

Don’t forget about Zinc! I read a study that it helps with age-related hearing loss. I try to get mine from pumpkin seeds. It’s a nice little habit to have while watching TV in the evening.
