I’ve spent a small fortune over the last decade trying to keep my vision from getting worse. Like many of you, I hit my late fifties and noticed that reading menus or driving after sunset became a real chore. I tried those standard drugstore drops and the generic multivitamins, but honestly, I didn’t see much of a difference. I was really skeptical about trying another vision support pill because I felt like I was just flushing money away.
A neighbor mentioned she was using iGenics (i get it here) because it followed the AREDS-2 formula but had a few extra ingredients. I decided to give it a three-month trial, mostly just to say I tried everything. The first few weeks were unremarkable. I didn’t wake up with superhero vision or anything like that. It felt like every other supplement I’d tried before.
Around the end of the second month, I noticed something subtle. Driving home from my daughter’s house at night felt less stressful. The glare from oncoming headlights didn’t seem as blinding. By the third month of taking iGenics daily, I realized I wasn’t squinting as much at my computer screen. My eyes just felt less fatigued after a long day.
Compared to the basic lutein supplements I bought at the supermarket, iGenics definitely feels more potent. My eyes don’t feel as tired at the end of the day. However, it’s not perfect. It hasn’t completely replaced my reading glasses, and it’s certainly more expensive than the generic brands. You also have to be consistent; if I miss a few days, I feel like the strain starts to creep back in. It’s a support tool, not a miracle cure, but for me, the clarity at night makes it worth the investment.

I had a similar experience. I’ve been on iGenics for about four months now and the night driving improvement was the first thing I noticed too. It really helped with that weird halo effect around streetlights.
How much does it cost compared to the standard ones you find at the pharmacy? I’m on a fixed income and I’m tired of wasting money on things that don’t work.

It’s definitely more of a premium price, but iGenics gave me results that the cheap stuff never did. My daytime focus is much sharper now.

Are you doing any eye exercises along with the supplement? I’ve heard those can help with the strain too, especially if you spend a lot of time on a tablet.
Any stomach issues? Sometimes these concentrated vitamins can be a bit heavy if you don’t take them with a full meal.

I’ve been using a different AREDS-2 brand for years. I wonder if the extra ingredients in this one actually make a difference or if it’s just marketing. It’s hard to tell with supplements.
I switched from a generic brand to iGenics last year. For me, the biggest change was how quickly my eyes adjust when I go from a bright room into a dark one. It definitely works better for my age group.

I’m 65 and just starting to notice the evening blur. This is helpful to read. I’m always worried about buying things online though.

Make sure you’re also getting enough leafy greens. Supplements are great but they can’t do all the heavy lifting alone!

How long did it take to arrive? I’m thinking about ordering a bottle before I go on vacation next month.
My ophthalmologist mentioned AREDS-2 ingredients are the gold standard for aging eyes. It’s good to see people finding formulas that actually use the right dosages.

I tried it for a month and didn’t see a huge change, but maybe I didn’t give it enough time like the original poster said. Supplements usually take a while to build up.

Thanks for the honest review. It’s refreshing to hear that it’s not a ‘cure’ but just a helpful addition to the routine. Might give it a shot.
